one year in bucharest

bruxelles... here we are!! we stay with victor, his friends, and raissa, a common friend that i met in bucharest... she is "miss heineken" in our hearts.... her father works for heineken in romania. amsterdam... we finished under the rain... utrecht the same... rain but very nice host and cute little city.... last friday hitch hiking from utrecht to brugge. nice lift with nice people. and i met for the first time someone who have been to iraq and afganistan. he is in the dutch army but really great guy, cultivated, open minded. he drove us on the longest part of our trip. brugge we have been host by the most crazy girl but really cool. and her family too very very nice. it was really a great moment. thanks eva! brugge is beautiful but too many tourists.... and on sunday we went to bruxelles... in two days it's the end... back to toulouse via charleroi-carcassonne... bye bye holydays... oh yes!! tomorow i'm going to climb with victor... two month that i didn't climbed it's going to be very hard!! i'm going to check how it's going for mathias in america... i'm envious of his road trip....

I'm writing from amsterdam so it won't be so easy...

Lille... good time spent there, thanks to fred to hosted us despite our last minute request. good beers but i couldn't live here.... sure! Fanny ran away from me... she is in scotland. An other Fabien is with me now.

hitch-hiking to amsterdam... start great but just before Breda we get stuck on a service station two hours... all dutch was coming back from holydays... full! we planned to go to amsterdam but the destin decieded to rotterman. let's go!

we arrived at 21h... carnaval... so many people. we don't have any place to sleep. we went for street... like homeless on a banch.
the day after i gave few calls via hoapitality club and smiley and laurens was ok to host us for one night!

Amsterdam-summer 2006-full of tourists!! impossible to find a place to stay. at the last moment again one guy hosted us for one night. now it's evening... where are we going to sleep?? donno... i think i called all the members from amsterdam. they all get 5/7 requests a day...

by the way amsterdam is really nice even if it's raining a lot.... today we went to van gogh museum. thanks to our host, he let us to use his museum card. we didn't have to pay and to wait!! then movie museum and FOAM, photo museum.

After "West Coast" we took the road of "asshole" of france... little village called Le chillou where lives a firend of Fanny... For the ones who know it's a little bit above Parthenay which is a little bit above Niort... It was 3 days of farniente, spending time in swimming pool, playing darts, pool. We met the friends of Hono (fanny's friend) and everybody was really nice!
Saturday morning it was time to go to the capitale..... PARIS!!! we hitch-hiked under the rain in the begining but it went quite fast (thanks fanny...) From tours to paris we had a lift with a guy working as a sound engineer at Radio France. Very interesting chat, very cool guy. In paris my friend Karima came to pick us up then we went to pick up a slovenian friend, Ana.
Karima lives in a student Residence where live many cool people. All the doors are open most of time, everybody  goes from one room to the other... it's really great!
Our time in paris was shared between visits, museum (Quai Branly!!!!!!---> Jean Nouvel!!!!!) party and meeting some of my friends i hadn't seen since a while.

tomorrow we leave to Lille. Still hitch hiking... we just found a place to stay via hospitality club!

Burnt by the sun we are... very hot time on the West Coast...

The trip from Toulouse made quite fast except to leave toulouse cause we were in a place with few car. We did it with 3 different cars and floran (ex roommate) came to bayonne to pick up us... Our last drivers were a couple of retired italians, adriano and gabriella, very very nice.

In Capbreton we stay at floran's place with his father and we eat a lot and very well!! Mode plancha ON. We have been to some bars the evening, yesterday we went to spain quickly, a little trip in the basque country.

And today i tried to surf... I'm not a beachboy yet and it's very hard... this sport is not for me i think! but fanny has a really good style

And we leave tomorow morning to visit friends of fanny somewhere lost in the landscape... new adventures soon!!!!

that seems that i can't stay in the same place longer than one month... i just came back from bucharest but i leave again using my thumb on the roads of, this time, france, belgium, netherlands. in 5h i leave to capbreton, west coast of france where lives floran (my ex-room mate in bucharest) then i will go somewhere lost in the country side of west of france, then paris, lille, netherlands, belgium. i'll be back in toulouse on 10th of august... and maybe i'll, move somewhere again! i hope!!! really!

anyway.... just to say that you can still follow my "adventures" on this wonderful blog... .... and i think that after this trip it will be the end of that page... maybe, if i'm in a good mood, i'll create a new one to tell all my life in toulouse...

hey! in case you worried about it.... I'm back since 2 weeks now! But i've really no time to write anything here! i'm very busy and very happy to be back home, to see all my friends from here, to feel toulouse, to be in toulouse!

That's finished! in 9 hours i'll be in the bus bringing me back to france. It's the end of romanian time, a new time is going to take place!

Thanks a lot to everybody i met! Beside what i said usually it was a great year and i enjoyed it!

The party was really great, lot of fun... unfortunatly like most of times, only few people played the game but with them we had lot of fun. To see what you missed check the photo album "oldschool party"

For all people who are in Bucharest this is the event that you cannot miss! The last erasmus party, and in the same time it's the opening of the world cup of football... So we had and idea... everybody has to come wearing sportwears from the seventies / eighties!!!

It has been a trip of two days but so many hours of train! I really wanted to visit sibiu where i had never been and i heard that's a nice town, in the carpathians mountains. And that is! Sibiu will be the european capital of culture in 2007.
So i left with floran last thursday at 9h30 for 6 hours of train. We arrived in Sibiu and met there Amandine, a friend that we met in september in Bucharest. We visited Sibiu quite fast cause it's little center. The city is nice but there are doing a lot of reconstruction so i think it's better to come back in few months. Then we spent some time to drink beers. Sibiu was quite animated, lots of tourists cause it was the international festival of theatre. Then we took a train at 23h30, back to bucharest. Arrived at 5h00 and at 12h00 i left again but to Iasi this time. I was invited to a birthday and it was the last time that i could see my friend from there! I arrived at 18h30, party, and took the first train at 5h15! 800 km just for a party... this is a record no?  (pictures of Sibiu on the photo-album "sibiu"... like all the time!)

This week i started to run after the teachers at school to take my marks from the year... not so easy with the romanian system...

Tomorow two friends arrives from toulouse. They should arrive yesterday but some problems with eurolines... On friday my sister and a friend of her will arrive too!

The liberation is soon... i come back home in 15 days!
